1st Ilocos Sur School-Based Rodeo Tournament: CLSU Bulls hinirang na over-all champion

Tinanghal na over-all champion ang CLSU Bulls matapos makaipon ng 58 puntos sa 1st Ilocos Sur School-Based Rodeo Tournament na ginanap sa President Quirino Stadium, Vigan City, nitong Enero 31. Pumangalawa ang Benguet State University na may 52 puntos, pumangatlo ang University of the Philippines Los Baños, 49, at pumang-apat ang Nueva Viscaya State University, 17. Nagkamit ng unang puwesto ang Bulls sa mga kategoryang calf lassoing (men and women), two-man carambola , bull whipping (women), load carrying (women), calf wrestling (men) , at casting down of large cattle (men).

Nakasungkit ng ikalawang puwesto ang Bulls sa kategoryang bull whipping (men), load carrying (men), casting down (women) at wood chopping, samantala nakalasap ng ikatlong puwesto ang four man carambola
(men at women), calf wrestling (men). Kinoronahan namang 3rd runner-up sa rodeo queen ang kinatawan ng CLSU Bulls na si Sheryl Cusio. “Full support lang, lalo na sa financial.

wika ni Dr. Ernesto Garillo, team manager ng bulls. “Two weeks lang kaming nagpraktis, rigid ang ginawa namin, ang sekreto talaga ay practice, practice, practice”.
“As one team namili talaga kami ng mga enthusiast. Dapat all around ang orientation at may alternate, may major at may alternate player,” pahayag naman ni Dante Lorenzo, team captain ng Bulls.
May 18 myembro ng CLSU Rodeo ang lumahok sa nasabing tatlong araw na paligsahan.
Dadayong muli ang 15 kasapi CLSU Bulls nitong Abril sa Rodeo Masbateño na bahagi ng Masbateño Festival na gaganapin sa Masbate City.
