Nagwagi ang dalawang manunulat ng CLSU Collegian ang opisyal na pahayagan ng CLSU sa 13th Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) na ginanap sa Batis, Aramin Resort and Hotel, Lucban, Quezon nitong February 12-14. Para sa individual category ay wagi sina Kenneth F. Antolin, editor-in-chief, ikaanim na pwesto
sa sports writing Filipino, at Paul John Villamor, sports editor, ikawalong pwesto sa sports writing English.
“Iba talaga ang nagagawa ng treyning. Bagama’t may mga kakulangan pa din kami sa ngayon, ang bilin ng mga advisers namin ay magpraktis lang palagi,” wika ni Villamor.

Mula naman sa pito ay apat na manunulat ng pahayagan ang pumasok sa LHEPC matapos magwagi
sa nakaraang 13th Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) na ginanap sa Villa Alfredo’s resort, Baliti, San Fernando City, Pampanga nitong Enero 15-17.
Ang apat na manunulat ay sina Antolin, ikaapat na pwesto sa Photojournalism Filipino at ikalimang
pwesto sa sports writing Filipino; Van Alen Lumandas, associate editor, ikaapat na pwesto sa copyreading and headline writing English at ikapitong pwesto sa feature writing Filipino; Villamor, ikalimang pwesto sa sports writing
English at ikaanim na pwesto sa editorial writing (English); at Lorelyn Casita, probationary staff writer, ikatlong pwesto sa development communication writing (Filipino).
Samantala, nagkamit din ng parangal sina Ellaine Aquino, opinion editor, ikawalong pwesto sa development communication writing (English), Ramon Rarama, cartoonist, ikapitong pwesto sa literary graphics illustration (Filipino) at ikasiyam na pwesto sa comic strip drawing (filipino), at Marc Ren-ren Echanez, cartoonist sa ikapitong pwesto sa editorial cartooning (English).
