Abella is new CLSU President

The search is over, Central Luzon State University Board of Regents (BOR) finally named Dr. Tereso Angeles Abella as the new CLSU President during their meeting held on December 18, 2015 at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

After the rigorous 9-month search, the CLSU BOR voted in favor of Abella who immediately took oath before CHED Chairperson Patricia B. Licuanan.

Abella was presented to the CLSU community by the outgoing OIC, Office of the President, Dr. Raul D. Divina, during the Monday flag raising ceremony on December 21, 2015.

In his message he thanked all the people who supported him during the search period, the public forum, up until he was appointed as the New President of the University. He said that he would give his 100% service to the University, for the fulfillment of the dream for the University to become a National Research University in Agriculture and Allied Sciences.

Mensahe ni Dr. Tereso A. Abella bilang bagong Pangulo ng Pamantasan

“Ako po ay naniniwala na ang isang bagay, kung ito’y iyong nanaisin, ay darating sa takdang panahon. Ito po ang araw ng pasasalamat, pasasalamat sa Poong Maykapal, pasasalamat sa mga tao na mula sa simula hanggang sa ako ay ‘ma-appoint’ ay hindi bumitaw upang ako ay suportahan, pasasalamat sa mataimtim ninyong dasal upang makamtan natin ang ating tagumpay. Kasama ko po kayo sa tagumpay sa aking pagkakatalaga bilang pangulo ng ating pamantasan. Nagpapasalamat din po ako dahil nabigyan tayo ng magandang panahon sa araw na ito. Kung ang magandang pagsikat ng araw na ito ay nagbabadya ng magandang simula sa ating pamantasan, sana po ay mangyari ito. Kung ang pagdalo nyo rito ay pagbabadya ng 100% ng inyong pagsuporta sa akin, ay susuklian ko din po ng 100% ng paglilingkod sa Central Luzon State University. Hinihiling ko din po ang inyong tapat na suporta at tapat na pagtalima sa inyong mga gawain upang makamtan natin ang ating mga hangarin sa CLSU bilang National Research University in Agriculture and Allied Sciences. Magandang araw po, maraming salamat at Mabuhay po tayong lahat!”
